** COVID-19 UPDATE **
We are currently supporting Wheels2Work clients who are key workers and need to keep their vehicle to get to work.
At this time we are only able to provide electric bikes to new
clients who are key workers. If you are interested in joining Wheels2Work, please
see below for more information or contact us on email@example.com or
Are you struggling to get to work because of a lack of public transport? Our Wheels2Work scheme may be able to help.
We have a fleet of scooters and electric bikes that are available to hire (subject to conditions) for people who need support travelling to their place of work.
What do we offer?
We loan out 50cc scooters, 110cc scooters and electric bikes for three months, with an option to extend for a further three. We also provide the necessary equipment and offer transport advice if required.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for the scheme, you need to be:
· Living in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin
· Unable to afford your own transport
· Looking for work where you may need your own transport, or
· In employment or work-based training and at risk of losing your job due to lack of suitable transport
· And if borrowing a scooter, in possession of an up-to-date driving licence (provisional or full with no more than 3 points) which lists your current address
If you are looking for work we will advise you on your transport options, including any vehicles we could loan to you. We will send you a letter outlining these options for you to take to job interviews if required.

Compulsory Basic Training
Wheels2Work will fund the cost of one CBT course, which is a full day and normally held at the EDT Fast Trak Training Centre in Shrewsbury.
You must prepare in advance for your CBT. To complete it you will need a good knowledge of the Highway Code and traffic signs (click here to test your knowledge on the Highway Code and traffic signs). This video from the DVLA will help you prepare for your CBT.
It is important to carry out regular checks on your hire scooter, particularly before you are about to ride it. For guidance on how to do this, Please watch the below videos:
