The Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire has helped Shropshire RCC recognise some of its hard-working volunteers.
Around 30 people who support the delivery of our Sight and Hearing Loss Services were invited to the event as a thank you for their hard work and commitment.
Sir Algernon and his wife Lady Jane Heber-Percy hosted the occasion at Hodnet Hall, opening up their beautiful gardens to the volunteers and providing a delicious afternoon tea.
Certificates and gifts were presented to a number of volunteers who had reached key milestones by Sir Algernon, who is the Patron of Shropshire RCC.
Retiring volunteers Shirley Vaughan and Julian Hudson were also thanked for their commitment to the service and will be sorely missed.
Visitors are welcome at Hodnet Hall Gardens, near Market Drayton, every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday between April and September, as well as on a selection of additional days. For more information, visit Hodnet Hall Gardens website.
