Shropshire RCC touring the county to help households save energy

15th Jan, 2020

We are touring Shropshire next week to spread the word on how people can reduce their energy bills and save money.

The events are being run by Shropshire RCC as part of Big Energy Saving Week, a national campaign taking place between 20 and 26 January 2020.

We'll be hosting drop-in sessions to help people take control of their energy usage, reduce their household bills and make sure they’re getting the best deal.

Events throughout the week are as follows:

  • Monday 20 January, 12.30pm to 3pm Festival Drayton Centre, Frogmore Rd, Market Drayton, TF9 3AX
  • Tuesday 21 January,10am to 2pm Oswestry Library, 9 Arthur St, Oswestry, SY11 1JN
  • Wednesday 22 January, 10am to 12pm Castle Hall, W Castle St, Bridgnorth, WV16 4AB
  • Wednesday 22 January, 11.30am to 1.30pm Cleobury Country Centre, Love Lane, Cleobury Mortimer, DY14 8PE
  • Thursday 23 January, 10am to 1pm ‘Warm and Well’, Castlefields Community Centre, New Park St, Shrewsbury, SY1 2LD

Lizzy Thain, Project Officer for Shropshire RCC, said: “We’re travelling around the county to try and help as many people as possible save money and keep warm this winter.

“We have lots of information and advice on how to cut household bills. And if people bring a recent energy bill with them we can look at what possible savings can be made and then help them with the process if necessary.

“We will also be able to help with other energy-saving queries, including accessing extra grants and benefits.”
