Shropshire RCC celebrates Small Charity Week!
9th Jun, 2016
Shropshire RCC will be closing the office for the day on Monday 13 June and having an Open Day in the Square in Shrewsbury, to celebrate Small Charity Week.
Small Charity Week is an annual event to celebrate and raise the profile of the small charity sector (charities with a turnover under £1.5million) and the amazing work they do. It is a week-long event comprising a series of activities and initiatives to support and raise awareness of the thousands of small charities that, every day, make a huge difference to vulnerable communities across Shropshire, across the UK and the rest of the world.
Shropshire RCC provides a range of services to a variety of members of the Shropshire community, such as support groups for people with hearing and sight loss; Wheels 2 Work and community oil buying. We also provide advice and support for small charities, village halls and other community groups on a range of issues such as governance, training; recruiting volunteers and securing grants.
Monday's event in the Square in Shrewsbury promises to be a fun and interactive day. We will be offering "taster" activities such as free Tai Chi and a Fitness MOT, home made cakes for sale and a raffle, as well as the opportunity to find out more about the work of our charity, and how you can might involved as a volunteer.
Come and say hello - we'd love to see you!
