Jigsaw Sound fundraising total
27th Jan, 2015
A Christmas choral concert by local choir Jigsaw Sound was the culmination of a year of fundraising for local charity Shropshire Rural Community Council. A fantastic £3,449.00 was raised from a combination of concerts, donations and events during 2014.
Jigsaw Sound, a choir consisting of singers from across the county, performed a series of traditional Christmas songs and hymns to a capacity audience in Holy Trinity Church.
Chief Executive of Shropshire RCC, Julia Baron, who attended the Christmas event said, “We are extremely grateful to the Jigsaw choir for choosing us as their “Charity of the Year” for 2014 and their efforts have raised a fantastic figure which will help to make a real difference to family carers in Shropshire.”
Fundraiser for Shropshire RCC, Elodie Home added, “The quality of the music and songs performed by the choir at all their concerts is simply spellbinding and thanks must go to every member and also the volunteers and supporters who helped stage the Christmas Concert.”
