A new hub supporting community-led housing projects across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Herefordshire is launching online this month.
Shropshire RCC is a delivery partner for the Marches Community Led Housing (MCLH) Hub, which will help communities across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Herefordshire access information and funding.
Community-led housing is typically a small development of homes designed, built, owned and/or controlled by a group of local people.
Renee Wallace, Shropshire RCC’s Rural Housing Enabler, said: “We believe that local people are best placed to build homes which really work for that community, creating thriving places to live, work and play.
“It is the hub’s mission to help you access information, funding and guidance around community-led Housing so you can confidently navigate through the process from initial idea, establishing a group, finding a site, planning policy, engagement, working with key partners through to the build and moving in phases.”
To allow as many people as possible to attend the MCLH launch event, it will be hosted on three different days and times over Zoom, and will include a range of expert speakers and opportunities for virtual networking.
Pre-registration is essential as there are limited places at each launch to facilitate manageable interactions. Please use the links below to register your place now.
Zoom joining instructions will be sent out on confirmation of your successful registration.
