This Valentine’s Day Shropshire RCC played matchmaker to people interested in volunteering and local organisations looking for extra support.
We hosted the event – St Volunteers Day - at Palmer’s Café, Shrewsbury, and invited people to come in for a coffee and a chat to see if there were any roles that were right for them.
Shropshire RCC and organisations were on-hand to talk about how volunteers can support those with hearing and sight loss, people looking to get fit and active and become representatives to empower individuals in care.
Lisa White, Development Officer at Shropshire RCC, said: “We were delighted that so many people came to St Volunteers Day and heard about the huge range of roles that are available on their doorstep.
“Charities like ours rely on the support of volunteers to help deliver much-needed projects so if you would like to find out more, please get in touch.”
