We have a fleet of scooters and electric bikes that are available to hire (subject to conditions) for people who need support travelling to their place of work.
We loan out 50cc scooters, 110cc scooters and electric bikes for three months, with an option to extend for a further three. We also provide the necessary equipment and offer transport advice if required.
To be eligible for the scheme, you need to be:
· Living in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin
· Unable to afford your own transport
· Looking for work where you may need your own transport, or
· In employment or work-based training and at risk of losing your job due to lack of suitable transport
· And if borrowing a scooter, in possession of an up-to-date driving licence (provisional or full with no more than 3 points) which lists your current address
If you are looking for work we will advise you on your transport options, including any vehicles we could loan to you. We will send you a letter outlining these options for you to take to job interviews if required.
